The structure of the main book will comprise of two main sections.

1. Commentary: This section will consist of a personal view of the state of the market data industry researched and written by David Anderson editor since 2003. It will look into the recent mergers and acquisitions and how this will impact on the wider market data community.

2. Profiles: This features in-depth company and product profiles as in previous years but with some marked changes for 2008. As the market data industry has evolved, the 2008 edition introduces a structure with a range of categories intended to enable the reader to more easily identify topics of specific interest.

This section will commence with a series of organizational profiles providing high level detail such as ownership structure, turnover, headcount and key senior executives. This will be followed by a series of subsections each focused on a relatively specialist area of the market data industry. This allows for an alternative way to locate information easily and compare detailed attributes within and across companies.

arrow   AUTHOR BIOGRAPHY

David Anderson has been editor of Inside Market Data Reference since the 2003 edition. David also operates his own specialist consulting firm, Atradia Consulting, established in 2002, and while based in the UK he is a frequent visitor to the US and continental Europe. David entered the market data industry in September 1984 working as a salesman for Telerate in London, Madrid and Amsterdam. Subsequently he spent over 13 years with Reuters, the last nine years performing a variety of domestic and international marketing functions. He holds a bachelors degree in Economics from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from the UK's Chartered Institute of Marketing.
